Berlin Marathon

The route of Berlin Marathon takes runners on a magnificent tour of the city's top points.

Marathon is moving across the Reichstag, Potsdamer Platz, and the Brandenburg Gate. It's great for newcomers, as well as experienced runners. In 2010, up to 40 thousand runners had reached the finish line.

The Berlin Marathon is a major sporting event in Berlin. The distance equals of official marathon distance 42.195 kilometers. The runners are professional athletes and amateur sportsmen jointly participate.

Since 1974 the Berlin Marathon takes place on the last weekend in September and in 2011 expected approximately 50,000 runners.
